finally i got the photos from her..........and i finally finished my exam...Yay Hoo~~~ got time to update the blog

updating better condition photos..

pretending driving a bus and i did not photo shop my picture... where got ppl photo shop edi still so ugly one~~
(Maybe i really should get a bus driving license .. since i like driving big vehicles so much~~!!)

back to the topic..
so..after some shopping around the hotel... then head straight for dinner.. which the dinner is the worse food of all...not worth taking photos.. then we go for the place where i wanted to go since i know that i will be going to Hatyai......the pasar malam... it is called "pah tai", i remembered it by the named of petai... is the same night market once i go with YOU..

to recall back your memory.... some of the things....we once enjoyed...

so....we went there to have the very very cheap and nice coffee .. this time we tried .. new flavors...

rating : 3 star (nice at first... but when reaching the end is not.... choco enough..and is kinda sweet)

after taking these photos... we headed for supper... we went for "oo jian" - egg fried oyster.. nice..but.. we dint bring along the phone..even we had.. we cant wait to eat... i don't think we ever think of taking picture.. so imagine la~~

after a very fulfilling supper... go to sleep

then i found something interesting~~~

i saw this in hotels washroom.... it may not be interesting.. as it is so rusty .... and dont know the purpose of putting such thing in there.. so i take a closer look then i found this....


a bottle opener.. from Coca Cola~~~!!! so thoughtful... especially when we need a can opener to open those bottle beers or soft drink..but i wonder anyone uses it (so rusty)or even realize this ...

Day 3:
morning.. around 10 a.m
i am the last one to wake up early er jie and cl went for an early walk, breakfast.. and bring back some breakfast for me!!! hehe cannot envy me for having such good er jie~~ so this is the one she bright back... yummy!!! can get from any... 7-11 in hat yai



while enjoying my breakfast on the bus.. i saw this...then i quickly "jump" down from the bus and take a picture of it...(since we are waiting for the aunties to buy some pork burger.. which Mc D in Malaysia does not have)



OMG~~~!!! grand sales... an i am going back that day....so sad....

more to come... we are heading to IpoH and stop by getting great food...

trip to hat yai~~ food~~~(part 1)

haha... now i "la -la sheng" updating.. this is the earliest i can.. because i need to make up the time lost of doing the assignment ... as such.. my time has to sacrificed to the discussion.. which ended up gossiping ... and planning for holiday after the test...swt -_-///

(before the trip..
mid night i made a b'day card for b'day girl until 4 am ..(happy b'day gurl) for her

(ignore me and my double chin!! and shh!! dont talk about it!!)
slept 3 hours then get ready for class...
i got class from 9am-1pm..
then discussion until 7pm ..
jammed all the way home..
7.30pm rush to cousin's b'day party ..
leave at 8.30pm..[i wrote her a "I OWE YOU " memo.. because i forgot her b'day present, which promised to give her when i am back from the trip]
final check on important mails.. the final checked before leaving the house at 9.00pm..
waited for bus 30 minute.. wtf..)

the trip took off at 9.30 Friday night (20/6/08) and reach the customs at 5 am Saturday but the customs are open on 6am.. so we waited in the bus for 1 hour..

but first .. let me show you who is the one that sleep with me~~ sharing the same bed.. bathroom.. toilet.. food..etc...
yup.. is her.. my lovely and evilly (sometime) :erjie ( she also have huge eye bag.. but she is smart enough to cover up with her sun glasses)



i looked super tired in this picture... i know ..Oh my Gosh~~~ my eye bag and dark circle..( i think i got better ones~~ but later..la~~)

so.. on the bus(the whole trip) .. we sit together... but we couldn't sleep well as we are going with the aunties~~~ (as u know aunties are tend to be.......*er- herm*) so.. we couldn't get a good sleep.. i end up looking like this without my survivor kit - the smart invention called- concealer.. ( all the nicer picture have to get from my sis which i don't know when she will pass it to me..which the story have to begin with my cell phone batteries DIED earlier than i expected..)

so, stop going around the bushes and get started with the food~~~

i do not know what have i done to the phone .. that makes this picture.. look "blue".. but at least the picture is clear... maybe i show you when i got the better ones~~ ( lesson learn: get a camera with you when u travel and don't simply do adjustment to it)

when finished with the temples(3 of them actually).. then we checked into the hotel .. guess what..

recall anything?? yup.. is the one we went ... together.. we stay at the same hotel.. but this time i stay at 8th floor...(maybe we rally should went back there.. again ..together...)

after checking in.. we went to have our lunch.. at Lee Garden Plaza hotel.. the tallest hotel in Hatyai ..at the 33rd floor ..this buffet lunch cost us :RM18 per person.. with normal food such as..fried rice,garden salad, tom yam (taste.. okay only), seaweed soup, tofu,fried chicken..etc but great view...

can u see the railway station.. that we first reach Hatyai? i can view it from the restaurant .. it reminds me of the good old memories...

after .. some cam whoring ... we head straight to the market which normal Malaysian Chinese called that place" pa-sak"(which means pasar in Malay; market in English)

the busyness of the market..


we purposely stop by there because..
1.they sell medicine where we can get cheaper there than in Malaysia.
2.the sell the super duper..cheap accessories.. (from hair to bracelet, necklace..etc..)best place to get gift for anybody without getting broke... because it is a retail shop as such the price is super cheap

but i saw something different...
the Milo packaging is so different from the ones in Malaysia... these are shorter and wider in the appearance..and they have two different size....aren't they cute..



after like an hour there .. we headed back to hotel where they have shopping mall..selling original branded stuff.. where some of them are cheaper than in Malaysia.. most widely known is the bra , the Wacoal brand bras are believed nearly half the price in Malaysia .. so we when to check it out...

but i ended buying stationary .. why?? because all of it is so adorable and unique where i could not get in Malaysia....i spend around 250 baht which is around RM25 just buying pens..

then we go to the street get some coconut.. as the day is so so hot..


then we found this

yummy fried chicken drumstick and the fried big prawns.. aren't they big..it is even bigger than the drumstick... (till know i still wondering ..what do the prawn was feed on.. that make them this size..) i did not try.. as i am afraid of having pimples.. (as i grow older ..the skin condition is not good as last time.. need to take care...)

the next stall is selling the same thing but..something extra..

(siew kap) roasted/ fried pigeon .. according to the locals...

more to come.... but need to wait for my erjie.. (because my batteries had DIED)...to get all the rest of the pictures..to save in computer..

tofu(bean curd)~~~
Japanese tofu.. hmm yummy.. this restaurant's chef should have a compliment on this cuisine .. damn nice.. if was to ask to rate i will give a 4 out of 5 star.. the tofu is just nice .. not over cooked.. but 1 thing that is not so satisfying is the "ham yu" is not good enough..


fried lotus~~
not very nice..if to compare to the one that i have tried in USJ ..the lotus over cook.. very stiff.. oily.. smell a bit like burned, if was to rate.. i will give 1 star out of 5 star.


fish...(talapia)
hmm.. no comment as .. i don't eat.. fresh water fish... i'm so sorry.. but i tried the "zhap"(which is mean the sauce) .. nice...salty.. rating... i dare not rate.. so~~~ i asked "er jie", and she rate : 3 star out of 5 star.


heh ko~~ (i dont know what this called in english-some kind shripms)
not so nice... below average.... to be rate hmm... 2 1/2 star out of 5 star... because ..it is oily...and got nothing.. like more flour .. than heh ko~~

masak-masak (my puchong aunt's house)

today i learn to cook 2 new things which are, mutton soup and tong ku keok (mushroom leg in chinese)

mutton soup.. is quite time consuming .. so i recorded the "mushroom leg" recipe.. actually ..it also can used mushroom.. Chinese mushroom, those black Chinese mushroom.... this cooking got a little spicy.. so quite suitable for "your" taste.. and its Chinese style

before i start... it should look like this after finished...(this size can for 4~5 pax)

ingredient (this size can for 4~5 pax):

OR

: Chinese mushroom used or the mushroom leg ( all cut into cubes)

onions, garlic on the left (more garlic), and 3 chili padi chopped, and removed seeds (or else ... hehe)

choi pou(update 18/6: is choi pou not tong choi) (dried white carrots seasoned to salty taste)

choi pou also ( dried red/orange carrots seasoned to sweet taste)

dried prawns... (ha-mai)
